Friendly Ladies-Only Tournament 18th June 2024
On Saturday, June 8th, 16 ladies got together at the courts to play a friendly ladies-only round-robin tournament and have lunch. Boyd Plate Mixed Doubles Tournament. 19 May 2024
Stansted Tennis Club hosted the Boyd Plate Mixed tournament on 19th May 2024. We had a beautiful day of sunshine and saw some lovely tennis games played. Diane Brown and Rick Lim won the final against reigning champions Cathy Brenner and David Fletcher. Dina McDonald and Gerred Gilronan won the consolation final.

Ladies One Day Fun Tournament 5 April 2024.
Despite the incredibly windy conditions, 16 lady players had a great day of tennis (and lovely food). Catherine Gibby and Chris Bailey won a very close match against Cathy Brenner and Carol Cook 6-5. The consolation winners were Caroline Crossley and Anthea Thomas, who defeated Val Ashwood and Gail Hogg 4-1.

You’re never too old!
In October 2023 one of our members, Sandra Ayres, travelled to Mallorca to compete in the ITF Individual tennis World Championship competition in the over 75s category. Sandra succeeded in getting through to the last 16 only to be beaten narrowly by Andree Teische from Germany 7-5, 7-5 an excellent achievement. Well done Sandra!
