Staying Safe On Court During This Heatwave.

You are probably aware that a national emergency has been declared as a result of the current heatwave being experienced across Britain. It follows a rare red warning for extreme heat issued by the Met Office for large areas of England for Wednesday 24 June and Thursday 25 June. As such the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) has issued guidance on staying safe on court in the heat this summer. This guidance can be read on the attached link. If you intend to play during this period or during any other particularly hot spell, please do take the time to read it. It is a two minute read to keep yourself and others safe. Consider whether you need to play at all, and certainly avoid the hot parts of the day 1100-1500.
