Mix “n” Match Doubles Tournament
Well we managed to get 32 players to sign up to play, which is a fantastic effort. Two matches have already been played. For those taking part and yet to play, please ensure that you arrange your matches in good time.

Cayless Chilli Tournament
This tournament took place today, Sunday 19th October. 15 players (10 ladies and 5 men) battled their way through the round-robin stage. There were some very close matches in the knockout stage. The eventual winners were Chris Hollis and Rick Lim, who defeated John Nichol and Felicity Shakespeare 6-0 in the final. A variety of exotic chilli dishes and some truly scrumptious puddings were enjoyed by the players at the end. Thanks to Fran for coming down from the Midlands to play in her tournament. It was lovely to see you Fran!

Ladies’ Night
The next Ladies’ Night will be from 7pm on Monday 10th November. All lady members are welcome to cone along and join in.

The last date for junior ladder matches will be Friday 24th October.

Wilby Tournament
16 players (8 men and 8 ladies) took part in the Wilby Doubles Tournament on Sunday 5th October. The final was won by Rick Lim and Lisa King, who beat Ed Wombwell and Jan Hollis 6-4 in the final. Unfortunately, Angela was not able to attend this year. In her absence, the generous prizes were awarded to the winners and runners up, by Angela’s daughter Ros.
