Membership
If you have not yet renewed your Stansted Tennis Club membership and are still intending to join, unfortunately, you have now missed the deadline for the discounted rate.

President’s Cup
This will take place at 4.30pm on Saturday 16th May. The cost will be £8, which will include a fish and chip supper. Please sign up in the Clubhouse

Garden area
As a commemoration of VE Day, the Queen being the longest serving monarch and the anniversary of the Magna Carta, we plan to plant the Tennis Club garden with a red, white and blue theme this year. We also intend to make some bunting to decorate the Club. This is a project you can all be part of. Please leave any donations of red, white or blue cotton fabric (patterned or plain) in the box in the Clubhouse cloakroom and any plant donations in the Clubhouse. Many thanks for your support in this.

Friends of the Committee
We are still looking for “Friends of the Committee” volunteers. Please contact me if you would like to be added to the list.

Cardio Sessions
Thanks to all those who have signed up for these sessions. They start up next week on a Monday and Thursday. There are currently 2 vacancies in the Thursday class (2pm to 3pm). Please contact me if you are interested.

Ladders
The Junior, Men’s and Ladies’ Singles Ladders are now up and running. It’s not too late to join in though. Please contact me if you are keen.

Club Tournament
Sign up sheets will be appearing on the noticeboard at the beginning of May. All senior members are encouraged to take part, so please sign up.

Hospital Cup
The draw takes place next week and will shortly afterwards be up for view on the noticeboard.

Friday evening coaching
Martyn will be starting up a Year 6 session starting next Friday between 8 and 9pm.

Junior night
An encouragement to all junior members to turn up between 6pm and 8pm for Junior Night.

Wednesday Evening Club Session
Please note that the start time for this session will now be 7pm. Please add your name to the Club Session area of the website if you intend to come along.

Wimbledon
The deadline for signing up is 5pm on Monday 27th April. Remember you have to be an opted in BTM to qualify. The draw will take place at 7pm on Wednesday 29th April at the start of the Wednesday Evening Open Adult Session.

Ladies’ Night
The next Ladies’ Night will be on Monday 11th May from 7pm. Please come along and join in with this popular session.

King’s Arms Quiz
If you are a keen quizzer, please contact me and become one of the STC team members. The next quiz will be on Tuesday 28th April at 8pm.

Winter measures
As we are experiencing pleasant weather at the moment there is now no need to turn off the water supply to the Clubhouse. Thank you for all your efforts over the winter months to prevent burst pipes.

Security
There were a couple of reports last week of the courts not being padlocked. A reminder to all members to please ensure that if you are last to leave you make sure the padlock is on.
