2017 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
This will take place at 8pm on Tuesday 28th February at 105 Cambridge Road, Stansted. All STC members are warmly encouraged to attend – it’s a casual, non-threatening meeting, so please try to come along to enjoy a glass of wine and feedback on how you think the Club is doing and to share any ideas you may have for the future of the Club. If you are keen to be elected to the committee, please contact a committee member.

Winter measures:
Please continue to observe winter measures in the clubhouse, especially during this current cold snap. Great job so far – well done!

LTA opting in:
Only 3 STC members “opted in” to the 2017 Wimbledon Ballot on the LTA website last month, which is a little disappointing! There are still 38 current British Tennis Members (BTMs) who need to “opt in” before the deadline of 17th February. If you have not “opted in”, you will NOT be eligible for the STC ballot for Wimbledon tickets. There are still about 70 STC members who need to register as BTMs. This is quite simple and only takes about 5 minutes. Please sign up as soon as possible as you will help boost the number of tickets the Club is allocated by the LTA. Any queries, then please contact me.

Next Social Tournament:
A reminder that this will take place next Friday, 27th January. Knocking up will take place between 9am and 9.30am and the tournament will start promptly at 9.30am. There are 14 players for this event.

Ladies’ Night:
The next Ladies’ Night will be on Monday 13th February starting at 7pm. All ladies welcome!

Mix ’n’ Match 2016/17:
The 3rd round is now in progress. The play by date for this round is Friday 17th February. Please don’t hesitate making contact with your partner and opposition, as it can be tricky finding dates to suit everyone, especially at this time of year.
