Pearce Trophy:
This tournament, for ladies only, will take place on Friday 2nd September starting at 9am. The entry fee is £5, plus a contribution towards lunch. Four more ladies are still needed, so please either sign up on the clubhouse noticeboard or email me directly if you would like to enter.

Maintenance Day:
This will take place at 1pm on Sunday 4th September. Please come along to lend a hand if you are free on the day.

Fish “n” Chip Adult Social Doubles Tournament:
16 ladies took part in this tournament, which was held, purely for fun, on Saturday 30th July. The final was won by Ginette Basten and Sue Simpson, who beat Carol Cook and Jan Hollis 6-3.

Wilby Tournament:
Unfortunately, this tournament had to be cancelled as there was not the correct combination of players. We are trying to arrange a replacement date for the autumn.

Hospital Cup:
We are still looking for donations for our STC raffle prize. So, if you have anything you would like to donate on a Brazil or sporty theme, please place in the box in the clubhouse. Thank you!
A reminder that Finals’ Day will be held at Thaxted Tennis Club on Saturday 17th September. If you are free on the day, then please come along to support.

Next Committee Meeting:
This will take place on Friday 9th September at 7pm at Debbie’s house. If you have any suggestions, please place them in the suggestion box in the clubhouse before the next meeting.

Ladies’ Night:
The next Ladies’ Night will be on Monday 12th September starting at 7pm. All ladies welcome!

2016 Club Tournament:
Please could all semi- finalists make sure they have arranged and played their matches by Saturday 10th September.
Finals’ Day is on Sunday 11th September. Please come along to support the event!

Essex Small Clubs One Day Tournament:
This will take place on Sunday 28th August at Bishop’s Stortford Tennis Club. STC will be represented by Fiona Pye and Lisa King in the Ladies’ Doubles, John Nichol and Rick Lim in the Men’s Doubles snd Simon Playfair and Daphne Lunnon in the Mixed Doubles.
