Working party
This will take place between 10am and noon on Saturday 5th September. Please note that the courts will be closed during this period. If you would like to come along to help, it would be greatly appreciated. We need to get the whole area looking at its best in readiness for Club Finals and Hospital Cup Finals.

Lost Property
When you are next at the club, please could you check through the vast amount of lost property which is currently piled in the changing room. If items have not been collected by the end of September, they will either be sent to a charity shop or disposed of.  Many thanks!

Ladies’ Night
The next Ladies’ Night will be on Monday 14th September starting at 7pm. All ladies welcome!

Next STC meeting
This will take place at Debbie’s house on Friday 28th August starting at 7pm. Please contact a committee member if you have an issue you would like to raise.

Wilby Adult Doubles Tournament
16 players enjoyed battling it out in the heat on Sunday 9th August.
For the first time in over 30 years that this tournament has taken place, last year’s winners retained their title. So once again, many congratulations to Rick Lim and Lisa King, who beat Ed Wombwell and Daphne Lunnon 6-2 in the final. Angela Wilby and her daughter Ros were there to enjoy the day and present the winners and runners up with their prizes.

Pearce Adult Doubles Tournament
This will take place on Friday 4th September, starting at 9.30am. There are 5 places remaining, so please sign up on the noticeboard by the end of this week if you would like to play. If you won’t be at the club, then email me and I shall let Debbie know.

Club Tournament
If you are still involved in the semi-finals, please ensure you have arranged and played your matches before the play by date.
Don’t forget that Final’s Day is on Sunday 13th September!
If you would like to help with catering on the day (either by offering sandwiches or cakes) please could you let me know.

Hospital Cup
Thanks to those who have contributed offerings towards our “Best of British” raffle prize. We look forward to receiving anything else with a red, white and blue theme. Please could you leave your offerings in the green box in the Clubhouse or contact Daphne.
Finals’ Day is on Saturday 26th September at Stansted.

Cardio Sessions
If any member would like to be added to the waiting list for the next block of sessions with Ollie, please email me.
Classes are either on a Monday morning or Thursday afternoon.

King’s Arms Quiz
The date for the next quiz will be Tuesday 25th August at 8pm. It’s always a good evening, so if you would like to be in the team, please email me.
