Dear members,

Many thanks to everyone who has renewed their membership for the coming year. If you have not yet rejoined and intend to, may I remind you that the full rate is now payable.
If you are not intending to rejoin and have not yet informed me , please could you do so as quickly as possible. You will need to return your keys.

Wimbledon tickets
The sheets are up in the Clubhouse. You need to have put your name down for the ballot by 5pm on Monday 28th April.
The draw will take place during Club session at 7pm on Wednesday 30th April.

Physio at STC
If you would like a free consultation with the physio, she is coming to the Club this Wednesday (23rd April) from 6.30pm. Please put your name down on the list in the Clubhouse or contact Daphne.

Cayless Tournament
This annual senior doubles tournament is due to take place at 9.30am on Sunday 27th April. More players are still needed if the tournament is to go ahead. Please put your name on the list on the Clubhouse noticeboard or contact me. A decision as to whether it will go ahead will be made on Wednesday evening.

Pearce Trophy
14 players competed for this trophy on Friday 4th April. There was some great tennis and a magnificent lunch. The final was won by Carol Cook and Catherine Gibby, who beat Debbie Lane and Fiona Pye. The score was 6-3.

Junior ladder
This week has seen the start of the Junior ladder which will run until the end of August. If you are the right age for one of the 3 ladders, it is not too late to enter, but you will need to start at the foot of the ladder.

Working Party
Many thanks to the 7 kind volunteers who turned up to help out with a court spring clean on April 5th.

Club Tournament
It’s time to start thinking about who you will partner in the doubles and whether you will have a go at the singles. The entry sheets will be up on the noticeboard for the duration of May.

Hospital Cup
Stansted have entered quite a few teams and the draws should be up on the noticeboard fairly soon.

Committee Meeting
The next meeting will be at Daphne’s at 8pm on Tuesday 29th April. Please contact a committee member if there is an issue you would like to raise.

Next Ladies’ Night
This will be from 7pm on Monday 12th May. All ladies welcome to come along!

Winter measures
We have had some cold nights recently. Please remember that winter measures remain in place, e.g turning off the water supply, until the end of April.

Mixed Mixed Tournament
The second round is now underway and matches are due to be played by 30th April.
